Chablis, the northernmost of the Burgundy vineyards has a specific climate : harsh winters, late springs with frequent frosts and hot, dry summers.
Above all, this small vineyard of just 4575 hectares boasts a unique soil made up of marl, limestone and oyster fossils of more than 150 million years old.

This extraordinary minerality, along with a 100% Chardonnay grape harvest, has given rise to a now mythical wine, Chablis.

Chablis is characterised by its robe, which is usually pale gold with green reflections. Its delicate bouquet reveals aromas of lemon and grapefruit. However, its originality and typicality can be found in its mineral and iodised taste, both which come directly from the terroir.

The vineyard is arranged as follows :

• 100 hectares for the Chablis Grand Crus
• 750 hectares for the Chablis Premier Crus
• 3000 hectares for the Chablis
• 450 hectares for the Petit Chablis.

The total production of the Chablis vineyard is 250 000hl, of which 80% is exported.
